Learning and Growing...

Hey Everyone!

We continue to do very well in the Republic of Georgia. We have just started learning the Georgian language and are looking forward to being able to communicate more with the people here. We have a great langauge teacher are studying two hours a week for now and then over the summer it will be 12 hours a week!! We have been blessed to find a wonderful Georgian girl our age to watch Ayanna during those times. Ayanna really likes her:)

Ayanna is growing, changing and talking more everyday! She says intentionally Mama, Daddy and Doggie now with an occasional word thrown in also. We are at the point of asking...."Did she say____?" She is definitely trying hard to communicate and more words will come soon. She continues to love reading books which is awesome.

Our transition to Georgia was very smooth and I think because before we left home, it is like we were living two lives. Not only were we living the "normal" American life of work, family and etc...but we were also preparing to come here. Now that we are here, we are just living - not living and preparing, so our life seems to have slowed down A LOT which is so nice!!

We go to Greece next week for an area retreat and have added some vacation time into that, so then we can come back and go full force into langauge study. Pray we hear the difference between those difficult sounds!

Thanks!
Juan, Shirley and Ayanna
