Back In Touch

Well, it has been a while since our last posting and much has happened which brings us even closer to being ready to leave for the Republic of Georgia. When we wrote last we were wrapping up our training and orientation in Springfield, MO, and at the time were planning on leaving in August sometime. Although we were not able to leave in August, we are encouraged that God is in control of these things, not us. We know that He has a purpose for each day that we are here until we are able to leave.
In July after returning from Springfield, we began speaking in different churches about God's leading in our lives and how He opened doors for us to go to the Republic of Georgia. What a great experience that has been every time! It has been good for us to continue sharing with individuals and churches the vision that He has given us for serving Him overseas. Right now, this is our 'mission field'.
We are still in the process of raising our budget so we can leave. God has been faithful in adding to His ministry those who will be supporting us financially and in prayer. We are so thankful to each one who so willingly and generously gives, and it is a growing experience for us to see God provide. We believe God will keep opening doors for others who will trust Him along with us and partner with us in monthly support and prayer over the next 2 years.
Our little girl Ayanna is doing great! Most recently she has impressed us with sitting up. And she is growing, as she now has added cereal and vegetables to her intake. :) We love being a family, and Shirley and I are finding out what a privilege it is to be parents. Until next time…!!
